Thank God he's got a new one

So I managed to yell at my husband loud enough for him to get a brand new computer complete with flat screen monitor and a brand new printer/scanner/copier all in one. Yay I gave him a $1500 spending limit on a puter and he managed to stay under that and also get himself some speakers for the desktop as well. Why do you ask would my husband end up with a brand new computer after he put so much time, effort, and frustration into upgrading the one he already had??? Turns out the one he already had was just on its last legs and making some absolutely horrible noises and I told him that if he didn't get a new computer I was going to shove the old one up his ass. When he left to do his computer shopping he took our 6 month old son with him and was gone for about an hour and a half or so that allowed me some peace and quiet. I didn't sit and do school work but it was nice to just be able to relax and do my thing without having to worry about jumping up to take care of the lil guy. The new PC is all hooked up and the new printer is networked into all the computers in the room right now. That is fantastic.

I took a bit of a break from this blog to run some errands. Hooray for Wally World aka WalMart!!! The neighbor across the street and I took our little Nerd Heard, my son, and her son and daughter who are all infant and toddler age out with us and managed between the two of us to get some light grocery shopping done. Traveling in a pack is great, even as people, it doesn't apply to just animals any more. At any rate for the time being I'm enjoying an easy uneventful day. I got the closet in the comptuer/baby's room cleaned up and straightened out so that all the current computer stuff is in one room in case we need to swap things out or pack up and move. I gave our Epson printer to the same neighbor I did my running around with so she can actually use it to go with her PC. I gave her the old Gateway monitor that we no longer needed, and a baby swing I got off of FreeCycle that the baby no longer likes sitting in for her garage sale. I told her since I really didn't have money to pay her this week for the couple of hours a week that I ask her to watch Eric while I get school work done at home, she should keep any money she makes off the items I gave her to sell. I need them out of my house and she could use the extra money so I told her go for it.

Wow its nice to see my filing cabinet and desk and hubby's desk all cleaned off. Since he has stuff that is more compact and streamlined makes his desk look more functional. I'm excited I can actually see my desk calendar and what not. I still have to clear some stuff away from my CPU but hell for the most part that is all hidden so I don't worry about it too much.

Talk about a feeling of accomplishement and success with the small stuff.
