All Hail The Non-Domestic Goddess!

I'll be the first to tell anyone I HATE CHORES!!!!  Wasn't the fondest of them as a kid and still don't like them now.  Don't get me wrong my house is messy and some might even say a tad 'dirty' but my home is bug free.  I don't leave garbage til it piles up to the ceiling, I try to pick up spills right away and I don't leave dishes all over the house for weeks on end and I try to avoid eating in any other room but my kitchen/dining area.

I'm still working with Eric on his potty training and such.  Unfortunately he's a hard sleeper and sleeps right through the night with no wake ups.  This also means he's a bed wetter.  He also fights with distractions during the day when he's got to use the bathroom.  This morning the fact that I had to wash his bed sheets prompted me to wash FIVE that's right (5) loads of laundry.  I'm getting in to the home making mode because I'll have to keep busy and keep costs down while Josh is in school full time.  Tomorrow's game plan is to wash our bed sheets and comforters as well as Eric's again because unfortunately I went to check on him and he was already soaked.  I figure he'll wake himself when he feels it.  This kid sleeps so hard he doesn't even move around when he's sleeping.  At any rate his sheets will be going in to the washer tomorrow morning as well.  On top of the five loads I did today I also did a load of dishes and cleared and cleaned off my kitchen table which happens to be the catch all and my primary work station for just about all things.  My kitchen table is where it all happens, mail piles up, school books pile up, purse, keys, some times Josh's clothes, Eric's clothes, Eric's toys, who says we need to eat meals around the kitchen table?  I really need to start making more of an effort to do things around here more efficiantly.  What is it they say about the road to hell being paved with good intentions?  I've always got the intentions to get my crap together and get organized and have better time management but I never seem to be able to do that for very long.  I'm also a procrastinator when it comes to school work as well.  So trying to do the full time mom thing and full time student thing is going to be a tad crazy.  The only way Josh and I will be able to keep ourselves above water is if I go full time and apply for the Post 9-11 GI Bill so I can collect the housing allowance to make sure the bills here are all paid and I still have money for groceries and occassional things for Eric.  Poor kid life is gonna suck for him if I'm ripping my hair out trying to get school stuff done.
So here's to hoping I can pull it all off.

The clouds are clearing and the end of the tunnel is near!

Wow hadn't realized how much has gone on since I last posted.  Josh has completed his BA in Political Science and graduated with a 3.88 GPA.  The issues from this past October were investigated and found to be untrue.  In the time all this was going on Josh decided he wanted to go to law school so they left him at a different command and he studied to take his LSAT.  He did better then he thought he'd do on the exam.  Once his scores were in he had over 80 schools contact him including Ave Maria School of Law which is a Catholic law school that Josh was looking at when he made his decision.  As it turns out Ave was the first school to send him information and the only one he applied to.  They accepted him with FULL scholarship for tuition.  The school relocated from MI to Naples FL a few years ago.  We've been hard at work trying to get Josh ready to leave for law school in a few weeks.
As for me I'm still working on getting myself through the courses I'm taking without killing myself and I'm having some issues.  Between having health issues and just plain lack of motivation I've had to retake a few courses and I feel like I'm doggie paddling in the same location and not getting any where.  Also Josh will be a civilian as of June 30th so money issues will soon follow the drastic decrease in income.  Not looking forward to that.

Hernia Surgery Post-op.

Surgery went down about 9 AM Thursday, I stayed in the hospital over night just as a precaution. Friday was rough on me. Saturday the big deal was major major gas issues. Today I seem to be doing much better. I was able to get in my car and take a trip over to the CVS and walk around for a bit. For the most part no more muscle spasms, of course when I tense up to cough or sneeze its painful, also hurts to laugh but other wise things aren't that bad at all. Now its just a matter of all the drugs working their way out of my system and my digestive tract getting back to normal. Another plus was coming out of surgery hungry and not nauseated. So Thursday evening I had regular foods for dinner, no liquid diet for me.

Josh has been going nuts cooking and keeping up the kitchen over the last few days. So we had lasagnia on Wed., Thurs don't know if he had left overs or ate out or what. Friday night he went out and got Chinese for us to eat, last night he made a meat pie with corn and mashed potatoes. Yum yum yum so far. I'm thankful I have a pretty hearty constitution. I'm also greatful that Eric has been kept busy and hasn't been jumping all over me. I've been working on school stuff here and there. Hoping to keep things up this term.

Seriously some times he really needs to keep....

his thoughts to himself. What man tells his wife you must like to be sick! I'm sitting here fighting a fever, the runs, nausea, stomach pain and then of course I have to be able to function like a normal human being for my son regardless of the fact that I feel like a bag of smashed assholes. So my darling husband gets to sleep like the dead through the night while I sit here and fight to actually fall asleep and stay asleep and quit coughing so hard I piss myself and pull muscles in my chest and abdomen. So when the man gets sick he drags his ass to bed some times well after midnight and gets to stay in bed til noon or later, when I'm sick I still have to get up with our son and if I'm lucky I might be able to go back to bed and catch a nap once the husband is up and can keep an ear out for Eric. I'd say keep an eye on but Josh lives at his fucking computer desk in the computer room where Eric doesn't want to spend much time. Right now I'm really feeling ornery with the various body issues I have going on. So yeah the IBS is always going to be an issue but I also have an issue that is something like having a short fernelum under the tongue that doesn't allow you to place your tongue to the roof of your mouth. This particular tissue/scar tissue problem I'm having is somewhere in my intestinal track and causes me mild pain and discomfort most days and other days I just want to rip my entire small and large intestin from my body. I have to say that I'm glad Dr. Fletcher at the ER really does listen to me. I'm so tired of people and Drs. just passing my discomfort off as IBS. I'm thinking that post surgery this issue has cropped up because of all the different places they had to place the camera while working on removing my gall bladder so its possible they irritated the surrounding tissue on the exterior of the intestins and caused/created 'caluses' or some form of scar tissue to bond external areas of the intestin. So this bonding process as caused a tense feeling almost like stuff is still sewn together and if I use to much force I'm going to tear the threads holding these parts together. On the up side I've been squirt free for about 5 or 6 hours now. Let's hope this at least holds up. I'd actually like to get some things done tomorrow.

Some people are real winners!

So I get a message that one of the wives wants to be taken off my phone tree I'm like WTF? Really? Why do people have to be so damn ignorant? I have someone over my house help her get her shit together because she's not computer savvy at all then she has dinner in my home and she tells me all this crap about herself then she passes judgement on me after telling me she doesn't want to be judged. Amazing how someone who tells me she has a hard time making friends is quick to pitch one to the curb because she's busy passing judgement on others who haven't done her any harm. Her own paranoya is barring her from making any serious friendships. I have no idea how her husband puts up with her psychodic ass. I'm also suppose to be doing the cookie exchange and at this point I sure as hell don't want to do anything with anyone from this command in any way shape or form. Some of these jack asses really need to adjust their thought processes. Makes me crazy the way they act like their shit doesn't stink. So can't wait to be done with all these snobby fuckers who really think they are above everyone else.

Looking back over the past year....

It's amazing to think about every thing that has been going on over the past year in our lives. Josh graduated college Magna Cume Laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. We've been living in our new home about a year already. Eric has picked up so much vocabulary its not even funny. I'm still chisling away at my BS in Psychology one class at a time along with being a full time mom. Josh went from shore to sea rotation and that in and of itself is one hell of a story at this point. I'm still in awe to some degree that Josh and I own our first home together. We have so many things to be thankful for. We truly are blessed.

Walking on through the rain...

I'm sitting here listening to the rain fall in heavy sheets outside my livingroom window and thinking about the current storm in my life. The love of my life is currently dealing with a situation that is affecting his job. So not only am I concerned for him and how he's coping with the situation but I'm also trying to deal with the ignorance of individuals who absolutely don't think before they spout off garbage about situations that they themselves are not directly involved in. Also the whole idea of pointing fingers with blood stained hands really pisses me off. Funny how someone can tell me that my husband is screwed up without explaining to me how they came to this conclusion. I know this person would lose thier ever loving mind and totally go off on me if I told her that her husband was a total fuck up had her husband been in this same situation. Then of course we have the 'spouse support group' who are suppose to be looking out for one another so I bring this to the group president and our liason that deals with the command and apparently nothing is going to be done. She will be allowed to create problems where/when ever she chooses. One day it will all come back to bite her right in the ass.

I wanna talk about ME!!!!!!

Just some things you should know, this blog is mainly a spot for me to vent. Get things off my chest and settle things in my mind.
