Thank God for small miracles!!!!!

Well I realized that I hadn't been paid my GI Bill money for a couple of months and so I finally called the VA to make sure that they certified me for school. Turns out I hadn't been paid since Dec. so I was owed Jan, Feb, and this month as well. I did this either just this past Thurs. or Fri. Talk about timing? Josh and I have been going a little nuts over spending, more so because Josh and I don't really communicate about what we are spending and how we are spending. I spend based on what I know has to be paid because I look at our accounts every day so I sit and figure out all the bills that absolutely have to come out each pay period. Josh on the other hand goes eh I need money so I'll go to the ATM and pull money out if he sees that there is money in the account or he just uses his check card until there is no money on it left to use. Usually between paydays we'll have a couple hundred dollars to 'hold us over' til the next pay day but for the last two pay days we've been over drawn now. Things have come up like the school not being paid during a certain time period so they decide to call me an academic year later and go Oh by the way you still owe us $XYZ I'm like great so how to I set up payments to back pay this? So yeah with Josh's pay check being the only steady income in the house and extra bills coming up that we weren't having to pay before things have been rouigh. I'm hoping to be able to clear up things with school pretty much almost completely. It would be really nice to be able to have some kind of cash in hand after all that is paid so that I can cover the over draft in the checking account and also make a couple of payments on some credit cards. I'm also hoping to give us quite a bit of breathing room once our taxes are finally in as well. With some meneuvering I'm hoping to get Josh's credit card paid all the way down to zero and get my JCPenney card paid down to zero and work on paying off my Loft Master Card and my Walmart card. The crappy part about the taxes at the moment is the fact that we couldn't E-file because of the 1st time home buyers credit. So I have to snail mail our taxes in and wait on them to snail mail us back a check which could take up to God only knows how long. I am thankful however when they did our taxes this year they also included our schooling and that gave us extra cash at tax time as well. Yay for hitting pay dirt!!!!! Hopefully this will get us out of the hole and we won't ever ever ever be here again. I did the smart thing and cut up all my credit cards with the exception of my JC Penney card so that I at least have that for Birthday and Christmas shopping for Eric and Josh. Penney's is about the only place I can go and buy decent clothes for Josh that he's actually comfortable wearing.

Why am I writing this at three in the morning instead of a normal time of day???? Because I woke up in pain from another gall bladder attack and I took meds that are some what kicking in. The pain was just enough not to allow me comfortable sleep and now I'm just kind of wound for sound. The funny thing is when I came out to the livingroom area to see if I could get comfy out here, some thing prompted me to check the accounts and thats when I saw that I'd be getting paid by the VA!!!! Funny how once I checked on that the pain wasn't nearly as intense and I immediately seemed to feel quite a bit better. At this point all I can say is wow! I'm glad I don't have credit cards out the behind with large credit limits. I can't wait to get my credit cleared up. The last thing we need is to have credit issues after buying a house. Unfortunately we didn't have a choice in making some of the improvements to the house that we've needed to make. Changing out the flooring in the kitchen and living areas turned out to be a must. There were loose and cracked tiles in the house and the carpeting in the living area was so saturated with dog urine there was no way to get the smell out. At any rate we put the entire expense of the house improvements both interior and exterior on Josh's credit card which was probablly one of the biggest no no's we could have ever made. The other thing I'm thankful for is the money I have put away that we can borrow against. That has saved our behind more then once or twice. Hopefully once we get past these credit card issues then it will be smooth sailing agian. I just hope that we will do better with the checking account and not over drawing on it on any kind of a regular basis. Would be nice to actually put money away and put money back in Eric's savings account since I borrowed from it so damn much. I'm hoping this saves us til pay day as well because Eric is going to need diapers before then and juice as well. All I can say is credit cards are the DEVIL!!!!!!! they suck you in and then BAM!!!!! OK well I really should attempt to go back to bed and get some rest because I'm sure my lil sweet pea will be up in about three to four hours!!!!
