Today is the day that the Lord has made.

Here I sit with a fussy baby boy who doesn't want to be any where but in my arms. Don't get me wrong I love to cuddle with my son and spend time together but when you are trying to do school work and study it just doesn't work. I'm doing my best not to be annoyed with his neediness. At this point I can't even leave the room without him losing his mind. I've tried laying him down with a bottle and see if he will relax and fall asleep but no such luck. I've also had a call from my academic advisor so see how I'm doing. I told her if I can't astound my instructor with brilliance then I'll just have to baffle him with BS. I haven't really had any luck trying to stay focused and on track. I'm thinking biology was not the best thing to hit me with right off the bat. Unfortunately Eric doesn't stay quiet for as long as I need to get the lectures read and my thoughts together. I still haven't manage to get the project for week two done yet. At this point I'm trying not to lose my mind.

More nothingness to discuss

As the temperature begins to dip and air begins to chill here in GA I think about home and winters spent drinking hot chocolate, eating chicken soup and grill cheese sandwiches, and playing in the leaves and then the snow. I miss so many of the little things, the family outings, the time spent with my sister some times doing a whole lot of nothing. I've missed brisk mornings spent getting ready for school. I am remembering time spent at my grandmothers house after school having something to eat, fresh cut french fries, green salad, a ham sandwich or soup. Now this is what my little sister looks like.

It still boggles my mind how she's grown and younger then me but her kids are older then mine... yeah I know she had her kids a lot earlier then I had mine. It worked for her and just wasn't going to work for me. At any rate I miss her bunches.

Biology the first week

I've gotten the grades back for my first week of class. I'm excited. So far so good. I actually did some pretty decent work on the first couple of assignments and discussions. I'm hoping this second week goes just as smoothly. Unfortunately I'm not feeling the vibe this time around. I'm finding it difficult to keep my thoughts together and coherent for this particular line of discussion. And I had to revamp my lab project as well because my coffee filter was just not working out as it is expected to work out. Bleh eh well ya win some ya lose some.

Roll on baby, roll on!!!!

This post is all about my lil baby boy. He's been working on rolling over for a while now and he hadn't really gotten the hang of scooting but it's finally all starting to come together. He also found that he prefers to sleep on his stomach. I started him out on his back but as he plays and wears himself out he tends to just pass out on his belly. This means for the most part I won't have to feed him to get him to fall asleep. I've been kind of lazy and just putting him down with a bottle. The last few times he's been playing so hard he's passed out on his own. I've been thoroughly enjoying all the little moments in my little ones life. He's also getting the hang of trying to speak so right now he's making sounds that are ta and da and what sounds like whispers. How cute is all of that. I just can't get over it. I'm trying to enjoy all of this as much as I can right now because before long he'll be up and about and tearing in to everything that he possiblly can. Thank God for modern technology and the invention of the digital camera. I've been taking pictures like crazy now I just have to quit being lazy and upload them on to my puter and then save them all to folders on my desk top.

Baby Happenings

My baby boy last night slept on his stomach for the first time ever. That was how he fell asleep and that was how I left him. I didn't want any issues with him waking because I had tried to move him. It seems so far that he had a good night last night. He was having a rough time falling asleep at first and didn't go down til about 2100 but once he was out that was it. I unfortunately like an idiot instead of making an effort to get to bed early stayed up past midnight and now here it is almost 0700 and I'm up again. If this is any indication, then I'm in for a long rough weekend. I'm hoping to get some research done for my discussion boards for school so I can intelligablly respond to various things going on in our invironment. At this point right now I think I'd like to try and go back to bed but I have no idea if my wonderful son who is now wide awake will allow me to do that.

Tears of God - Josh Turner

Some had on the Rebel grey, Some the Union blue,
They were fathers, sons and brothers, men like me and you.
Engaged in heavy battle, till there came that cloudy draw,
When silence took the battlefield men just stood in awe.

Some say it was the cannon smoke some say the Northern lights,
That cast a ghostly image over Fredericksburg that night,
Some say it was God's spirit lookin' o'er the bloody sod,
And that rainbow mist that filled the sky, was the tears of God.

Both sides read his Holy Word and believed it in thier hearts,
But the common ground He'd blessed them with had now been torn apart.
Covered by the blood they shed so many lost their lives,
The fight on that Virginia hill was enough to make Him cry.

Some say it was the cannon smoke some say the Northern lights,
That cast a ghostly image over Fredericksburg that night,
Some say it was God's spirit looking o'er the bloody sod,
And that rainbow mist that filled the sky, was the tears of God.

Some say it was the cannon smoke some say the Northern lights,
That cast a ghostly image over Fredericksburg that night,
Some say it was God's spirit lookin o'er the bloody sod,
And that Rainbow mist that filled the sky, was the tears of God.

The sounds of music remind me of home

I'm sitting at my desk listening to music I have on my computer that I copied off of CDs that I have. There is so much right now that I'm missing about being home with my family. I miss going to the night clubs with mom and just hanging out and dancing the night away until the wee small hours of the morning. I haven't done that in years now. I miss being in my grandmother's house while she's cooking or sitting with her while she works on some sewing project and just talking about life in general. I got up and danced around my computer room with my baby boy and enjoyed myself for a little while... it was really nice.I have no clue when was the last time I just danced around the house for the hell of it. My entire body is a mess right now but hell I don't even care. I need to have a previous foot surgery corrected, and that problem is causing issues with my back and body alignment to the point that I think I may have to be referred to a chiropractor in order to have things fixed/adjusted. My hips are also a mess partially from this problem and partially from my pregnancy. I've been doing my best not to be a stick in the mud about things but trying to exercise takes a toll on me and puts such a hurting on me I can't function for two days afterwards. At this point I'm doing the best I can given that I can't stop and relax with a six month old who is constantly on the go. For now I'm just enjoying the memories.

I wanna talk about ME!!!!!!

Just some things you should know, this blog is mainly a spot for me to vent. Get things off my chest and settle things in my mind.
